taku-mi, kō
You need to be skillful to use words that accompany this character. When takumi is a noun, it can be skill, efforts to make something look good, or attempts to deceive others.
Takumi is also an adjectival noun, which is known as a na-adjective. When you put –na, it modifies nouns related to artisans or art. When it is attached to a copula such as da and ni, it inflects.
- Takumida always comes at the end of sentences that express that somebody is good at something or one’s skill is good.
- Takumini means skillfully.
- First, write the left-hand side of the character. Write the horizontal stroke.
- Write the vertical stroke.
- Write the sweeping stroke rising rightward.
- Begin to write the right-hand side. Write the horizontal stroke.
- Write the hook with a stroke attaching to the previous stroke. Finish the stroke with an upward turn.
