Infantile or Very Young

osana-i,

Being very young is expressed as osanai. china comes before nouns and means infantile. chien is a kindergarten. En means a garden. The chi of chi also means very young.


The Order of Writing Strokes

  1. Begin to write the left-hand side of the character. Write the sweeping stroke from the top. Write the short stroke connecting to the previous stroke. (These strokes are not separated when you write with a pen.)
  2. Write the stroke that parallels the first stroke. Write the sweeping stroke that is almost horizontal. (These strokes are not separated when you write with a pen.)
  3. Write the dot at the end of the previous stroke.
  4. Write the hook with an upward turn.
  5. Write the sweeping stroke falling leftward.
